Baked Pasta

Recipe -- Baked Pasta

This is a simple but very delicious pasta bake. It is often quite difficult to get the right amount of sauce so as not to end up with a dry pasta bake. You’ll find the quantities of this pasta bake is just right, giving you a lovely saucy bake, not too dry and not too moist.


  • 500grms pasta (shells or Spirals)
  • 1 small tub sour cream
  • 500g pasta sauce
  • 400grm tin crushed tomatoes
  • fresh basil
  • grated cheese for topping
  • paprika (optional)


Boil pasta per instructions on packet.

Drain the pasta and rinse under warm water and let drain.

In a large bowl mix together the pasta, sour cream, crushed tomatoes, pasta sauce and basil.

Place in a large baking tray and sprinkle grated cheese on top.

Bake in a moderate oven for 20 – 30 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden brown.

Sprinkle paprika on top (optional)
