Apple Cake with Vegan Options

This is one of the easiest cakes that you could possibly make.  Moist, not too sweet and healthy, it’s a great family treat that can be whipped up in a matter of minutes.
  • 500 g self-raising flour
  • 250 g raw sugar
  • 3 large apples, chopped
  • 250 g dairy or vegan butter, melted
  • 4 tablespoons dairy or coconut yoghurt
  • 1½ cups milk dairy or plant based
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to moderate 180°C (350°F). Mix dry ingredients and apple together. Mix melted butter, yoghurt, milk and vanilla together. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured cake tin. Bake for approximately 40 minutes or until golden brown. When a skewer is inserted it should come out clean.
