Namaste. Welcome to ASMY Adelaide’s beautiful holistic meditation and yoga studio centrally located in North Adelaide where you will find it easy to relax and unwind. We offer a variety of programs taught by friendly down to earth teachers who share a passion to share the authentic gift of meditation and yoga with everyone.

In addition to Yoga Asana Classes for health and well-being, we offer Mindfulness, Meditation Classes, and Deep Peace Sessions for inner peace and harmony. Explore a journey of self discovery and gain spiritual insights at our Friday and Sunday Kirtan Meditation evenings. Our programs will leave you feeling energized, inspired, relaxed and peaceful.

Our Yoga Asana Classes

Stretch, Strengthen, Relax, & Meditate

Loosen your joints, increase flexibility, stretch, strengthen and tone tight muscles with yoga asanas. Yoga asana classes include guided relaxation and kirtan meditation for inner peace and tranquillity.

All classes are varied and yoga poses can be adapted to be more challenging or gentle as required. In this way each person can benefit from a level of yoga asanas to suit their capabilities. With our vinyasa flow yoga, movement is co-ordinated with the breath to flow from one pose to another.

Yoga is not about competing or comparing oneself with others; it is to increase your own physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Personal, friendly classes. Everyone welcome.

New to Yoga Asana Classes?

  • Yoga asanas are done barefoot.
  • Shoe shelves are provided by both entrances to store your shoes and bags.
  • Come 5 – 10 minutes early to allow you time to sign in and get ready for the class.
  • Wear comfortable modest clothing that allows you to move freely.
  • Have a good stretch and feel great afterwards!
  • Please bring your own yoga mat.

Whether you are looking for mindfulness techniques, relaxation, stress relief, a more peaceful mind, or you’re wanting to delve deeper into meditation, we offer a variety of wonderful meditation and kirtan programs to choose from.

At ASMY, we give all our meditation courses, classes and kirtan for free, (donations welcome) because we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to receive the gift of meditation and experience the amazing benefits that it has to offer.

Deep Peace, Relaxation & Kirtan Meditation

Experience the deeply relaxing and restorative effect of yoga relaxation and mantra meditation. These ancient yoga practices can help you overcome stress and anxieties, help relieve tension and calm the mind. This class feels blissful and helps you to experience heartfelt inner peace. Fully guided breathing, mindfulness, relaxation, and mantra meditation.

Discover Meditation Course

PART 1: Learn some simple, easy to apply and effective mindfulness and meditation practices to achieve a deeper sense of peace in your daily life. You will learn how to cope better with stress as meditation enables us to calm our mind, relax our body, and ease away stress and tension which improves our physical and mental well-being. The practice of meditation helps a person to develop clarity and wisdom, gaining a greater understanding of life. You can experience inner peace and lasting happiness by reawakening your natural spiritual consciousness and becoming self-realized.

PART 2: Meditation and philosophy …Where is lasting happiness to be found? In this class, you will experience various meditations from part 1 as well as a talk based on the wisdom of yoga/meditation teachings.

In line with ancient tradition all meditation programs are free of charge. No bookings are required.

Sacred Kirtan Meditation (chanting) plus Talk on Spiritual Wisdom (The Mantra Room)

For sincere seekers of the truth, join us as we explore the wisdom from the ancient yoga texts, the Bhagavad-gita. Yoga wisdom has been studied and praised for thousands of years for its clarity, insight and wealth of spiritual knowledge. Here is the chance to tap into this most ancient of sciences that has been handed down from self-realised spiritual teachers since time immemorial. If you would like to learn more about your eternal spiritual nature, meditation, real happiness and life’s ultimate purpose, then this is for you.

What to expect: The evening begins with 45 minutes heartfelt, enlivening Kirtan meditation (chanting). You can sit on a cushion or a chair. Handouts are provided so it is easy to follow along. Evening includes spiritual wisdom, a delicious supper and time for questions.

What to bring: Just your enthusiasm and participation. Everyone welcome. No need to book.

Sunday Kirtan Meditation

Welcome to our Live Kirtan, the relaxed and enjoyable singing of beautiful sacred mantras. Kirtan is a spiritual journey, a form of bhakti yoga — the yoga of devotion.

If you haven’t heard of Kirtan there is no better way to learn about it than to come along to our live kirtan. Immerse yourself in a beautiful evening of heartfelt chanting and music. Sing, dance, clap your hands and have a great time. Let the experience transport you to a world of inspiration, peace and joy, far beyond the stress and worries of life.

The evening also includes guided meditation, a fantastic vegetarian dinner and an inspiring talk that explores the timeless spiritual wisdom of the Bhagavad-gita. Great for those wanting to deepen their spiritual understanding and an opportunity to make friends with like-minded people.

What to expect: The evening of Kirtan begins at 5pm. You can sit on a cushion or a chair. Handouts are provided so it is easy to follow along and join in when you feel comfortable. Wear whatever you will feel comfortable sitting in. After dinner most people choose get up to dance to the chanting! Air conditioned for your comfort.
