Kirtan Meditation
Kirtan is the singing or chanting of sacred mantras with music. This meditation practice is nourishing for the heart and soul and brings real inner peace. It is an uplifting experience which is part of bhakti yoga — the yoga of devotion.





Our Kirtan Programs
If you haven’t heard of Kirtan meditation there is no better way to learn about it than to come along to The Mantra Room, aka ASMY! The experience will transport you to a world of inspiration, peace and joy, beyond the stress and worries of life.
Our kirtan features live music combined with sacred yoga chants in a relaxed, enchanting atmosphere where you will experience connection and community.
Featured kirtan leader Gopala dasi, with her sweet and heartfelt chanting, will leave you feeling peaceful and uplifted, and Balarama Krishna das' cruising melodies will bring a smile to your face to soothe the soul.
The experience of Kirtan is like no other; the leader sings the mantra, everyone sings it back. It's meditative and beautifully immersive. So come rest your heart and mind in sacred uplifting transcendental sound.

Tuesdays: 7:30pm – 8:30pm
Kirtan (chanting meditation) is a perfect way to de-stress. This weekly kirtan meditation session includes guided relaxation, sacred mantra breath meditation and kirtan, so you'll leave feeling uplifted, yet calm and peaceful.
Everyone welcome, no experience necessary.

Fridays: 7pm – 8:30pm
Heartfelt, beautiful and uplifting candlelit Kirtan meditation with music to sooth the soul. A great way to de-stress at the end of the week! Welcoming and friendly like-minded people. Includes spiritual insights to help us apply ancient wisdom in our daily lives for greater inner peace, happiness and purpose.
Includes delicious refreshments - $5.

Sundays: 6:00pm – 7:30pm
A wonderful uplifting Kirtan meditation evening to get in touch with and nourish your true self. Mantra meditation brings happiness to our heart and increases our mental and spiritual well-being. It's both inspiring and nurturing to share the experience of kirtan with other like minded and friendly people.
Includes short yoga wisdom talk and delicious supper. $5.
Our Kirtan Leaders
With nearly 40 years’ experience in meditation and yoga I am the senior teacher at ASMY in Adelaide. My yoga and meditation journey began after searching for a more meaningful life. I found purpose, happiness and greater wellbeing in meditation, spiritual cultivation and yoga asanas, and my life’s passion is to share my love of these practices with everyone.
