Meditation Teacher, Yoga Teacher

I am fortunate enough to be a long-time volunteer at ASMY.

My first experience and love of Yoga started when I was very young, when a close childhood friend’s mother taught asana classes at School.

I also had my first real taste of Japa meditation in my teens and was very attracted to the Maha Mantra.

Move on several years and I initially rediscovered Yoga to help with some injuries from a car accident and help control my asthma. The physical benefits were quick to occur, however I began to notice so many other unexpected positive aspects such as improved focus. My first visit to Australian School Meditation and Yoga in West End was in 2008 and I have never looked back.

The down to earth and devoted teachers and students at the Centre inspired me to study the Yoga System, first taking me India to complete teacher training. I then began to study more through our GC Centre and the learning continues daily.

I am particularly attracted to pranayama and mantra meditation, however what endears me most is that the yoga system does not discriminate, it is never too early or late to learn – it is evolving yet constant part of your self. I am grateful to be part of this wonderful yoga community and hope you can join me at the weekly deep peace and Hatha sessions.
