Louise

I came across the path of yoga and meditation in early 2016 at ASMY in Darwin. I was searching for some relief for the body and mind and starting to question what life is about. I attended an asana class, after a friend encouraged me to come along – she said there was an amazing meditation practice at the end called kirtan!

Whilst first finding the postures difficult due to stiffness in the body, with consistent practice I very quickly started to feel the benefits. These classes were followed by a guided meditation and kirtan meditation program and this is where I experienced a deep sense of relief and peace, in what felt like the first time in my life. This led me to continue on with the asana practice, and attend meditation on a regular basis.

In 2020 I undertook Yoga teacher training with World renowned Veda Yoga Teacher Training, in the hopes to strengthen my own practice and pass on this wonderful gift to others.

I teach Hatha and Yin styles of yoga, focusing on the breath and I encourage students to take a pace that suits their individual needs, recognising that no two bodies are the same, and one day may look different to the next.

I hope to see you in class soon!

Namaste
