Hi, I’m Kristina and yoga plays a key role in my life. About 15years ago, my husband took me to my first yoga class in a little scout hall and I was hooked. It took me some years to realize that I would not make any gains with my once a week practice. Slow learner! Upping the ante and increasing my practice at ASMY, at home and even when on holidays I was on my way. The benefits gained were not just the physical aspects that I was initially seeking and I found peace practicing yoga. I learnt to let a lot of stuff go that previously would have caused me some angst. I completed a 350-hour VEDA Teacher Training in 2014 and I continually seek to learn by attending workshops, courses and other yoga teachers’ classes.
Yoga is non-competitive and non-judgmental, which is important to me. In my classes, I provide variety through planned sequences, with detailed cueing and differentiation for more challenging poses to suit most students. I teach hatha yoga as a volunteer to my colleagues after work and here at ASMY. My quest is to assist other budding yogis to build their physical and mental flexibility and strength whilst finding and maintaining balance not just in poses but in life. I hope to see you on the mat sometime soon😊
