I’m Michele. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching at the Australian School of Meditation & Yoga in North Adelaide since 2018 but my yoga journey began much earlier, back in the late 1980s when I started attending classes. Having practiced yoga for a few decades, I realise the benefits are closely woven into my life. If I had to name three though it would be emotional calmness, mental resilience and a good back! Yoga has been such a positive force in my life that I’m now passionate about sharing its many gifts with others.
My teaching style is friendly and systematic, blending creative flow sequences with a focus on breath, awareness, and building strength from the inside out. Each week I aim to create a balanced and enjoyable asana class where participants can stretch, strengthen and find a sense of relaxation. I really enjoy seeing people connect with their practice and experience its positive impact.
Aside from yoga I enjoy walking, cycling and kayaking, escaping when I can for a multi-day hike either in Australia or overseas. Down time is spent reading (anything travel related), taming a large garden and looking after a pair of small but very demanding dachshunds.
I hope to see you at a Monday evening class sometime – it’s a great way to start the week! 😁
