Carob Brownies – a Tasty Treat for Mums

Mums want to be healthy and slim but love to indulge a little as well -I know I know, I am one a mum myself! It’s a juggling act isn’t it!
Well good news – here’s a recipe that is BOTH slim & healthy AND a little bit indulgent! Plus it’s low allergen being sugar free, gluten free and dairy free.

Mishti Doi

Mishti Doi is a traditional Indian sweet that is such a treat to the taste buds that is hard to beat. It is often served on very special occasions because of its very special subtle deliciousness

With accessibility to modern ingredients a few of the lengthy steps are able to be omitted such as making our own yoghurt and condensing the milk, not to mention milking the cow and skimming off the cream. Ahhh those were the days!!!!

Jam Drop Biscuits

Here’s my favourite biscuit recipe. It’s my favourite not only because they are yummy biscuits but also it’s so easy and adaptable. Sometimes I make them as a treat for the ASMY yoga classes and often get asked for the recipe. So here it is folks!

¾ cup butter (softened – see below for my Mother’s trick of softening butter)
¾ cup rich brown sugar
1/3 cup yoghurt
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp baking soda
1 ¾ – 2 cups of flour
