I make these Overnight Oats for my husband, a couple can be prepared at a time, leaving breakfast nicely organised and saving you time in the morning.
Be sure to prepare at least 8-12 hours in advance for best results. As with anything, take note of how your body responds, a cold breakfast isn’t for everyone.
Ingredients:
⅓ Cup Quick Oats
1 Cup Milk of Choice
½ Cup Mixed berries, frozen or fresh
¼ Cup dried fruit, such as chopped dates, figs, raisins or sultanas
1 tbsp flaxmeal/linseed meal/lsa
½ tsp vanilla
1 tbsp Sweetener of choice, such as maple, raw or coconut sugar
Pinch of ground cinnamon, cardamom and ginger
Method:
Mix altogether and put it the fridge, allow to sit overnight before consuming.
Option to top with nuts, coconut or anything else you like!
