World Yoga Day 2018

World Yoga Day

Hosted by the Australian School of Meditation and Yoga, Yoga Day Festival is Australia’s biggest, longest running celebration of World Yoga Day.

Growing in size each year, Australia’s Yoga Day Festival is rapidly approaching! Now in its fourth outing, the marquee event of the yoga calendar has been a wildly successful engaging, fun, and free/low-cost celebration of the United Nations International Day of Yoga.

For 2018, the Australian School of Meditation and Yoga is hosting a variety of both outdoor and indoor yoga events across the country, led by a diverse mix of the best handpicked local teachers who will take attendees through flowing inspirational yoga asanas, sacred music with some of the nation’s leading kirtan bands, guided meditations, and long and luxurious relaxation sessions

The United Nations declared the first international yoga day on June 21 2015. In 2018 this annual event continues with a wave of yoga festivals across Australia (starting on Saturday June 16th, through to Sunday June 24th) as we celebrate the second International Day of Yoga to raise worldwide awareness of the many benefits of yoga. Yoga is an ancient, holistic approach to health and wellbeing that promotes harmony between individuals, their community, their natural environment and the wider world.

Whether you are a seasoned yoga practitioner or are brand new to the practice, come along to Yoga Day Festival to experience the many gifts of yoga with friends, family and community. Stay updated on our facebook page.
