The Yoga Lifestyle And Dealing With Pain

Topic: The practice of yoga meditation and yoga breathing can help to draw the mind away from dwelling on the pain. By finding a positive focus, a person is able to rise above the pain and direct their consciousness to more pleasant thoughts. By slowing the breath and relaxing, a person can let go of muscle tension and stop the body’s natural impulse to push pain away. In many cases the pain decreases in intensity and loses its full impact. Through mindfulness, a person can distance themselves from the pain and experience themselves as the observer of the pain, rather than being overwhelmed by the full impact of the pain.

This enlightening talk will help you to discover your true spiritual identity. If you understand that you are spiritual in essence you will reduce the endless consumption of material resources as you will realize that you need spiritual food to satisfy that natural longing for happiness (yoga is a balance of physical, mental and spiritual well-being).
