Yoga & Meditation Classes

In conjunction with the Gold Coast City Council’s Active and Healthy campaign, we are happy to present many new yoga asana, relaxation and meditation classes on the Gold Coast. This is your chance to add yoga into your life. All these community classes are free or low cost, so take this opportunity to relax the body and calm the mind.

Sunday Yoga Asana Class

Yoga asana class, meditation, kirtan, introduction to the benefits of a yoga lifestyle and refreshments. Yoga asanas not only keep you fit and firm, but provides innumerable benefits to the internal systems of the body. A little effort in asana is repaid almost instantly with greatly increased feelings of well being. With regular practice, you will notice the balance it brings to your life. You will feel physically stronger, more flexible and mentally calmer.

Meditation Workshops

In these workshops you’ll discover practical tools for bringing positive and lasting wellbeing into your life, physically, mentally and spiritually. We teach simple breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation techniques. Bookings required. Please call for dates.

Location: Country Paradise Parklands – 231 Beaudesert-Nerang Road, Nerang.
Cost: FREE - The GCCC Active and Healthy program breaks during school holidays. During the school holidays, ASMY continues the usual Nerang Wednesday program with the class costing $5.

Note: Due to possible flooding during wet weather, please use the back entrance to the Parklands (drive past the main entrance, turn right on Crane Cres, then turn right on Billaburra Cres, and then take the first right into the Parklands.)

Easy Yoga Asana Class (1hr)

Easy yoga asana stretching for every body combined with deep relaxation and meditation. Free the body then calm the mind.

Southport

Stretch and Relax™/Easy Yoga Asana Class (1hr)

This class features half an hour of gentle stretching and half an hour of meditation, relaxation and kirtan and makes it very easy to relieve tension in the body and the mind. You will leave feeling alive and with a sense of peace and inner calm.

Southport Community Centre, 6 Lawson Street. This class is held in the main hall on the ground floor.
