Classical Indian Dance Workshop with Gayathri Rajasekharan

Gayathri has been learning classical Indian dance (Natya) since the age of 6 and thas been teaching for the past 20 years.
This 2000 year old form of dance involves breathing techniques, stretching, nimble footwork, various body movements and postures. Combining both slow and fast movements it has shown to improve stamina, flexibility, strengthen core muscles and enhance balance.There are elements of Natya called navarasas (known as nine moods) practiced as dance therapy to bring about positive and emotional well-being.
So break out of your comfort zone and give it a go. Increase flexibility, stamina and strengh, and have fun trying something new and different.
