Are you new to yoga and not sure where to start? Come along to our beginners yoga workshop, everyone welcome!
In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of how to practice yoga asanas (exercises) safely and with the correct alignment so that you can derive the most benefit for your particular body. We will be exploring how to do some of the most commonly practiced yoga poses to enable you to feel confident and safe in a class situation. The workshop also includes effective yoga breathing techniques (pranayama), guided relaxation, meditation and refreshments.
This inspiring, energising and relaxing workshop aimed at creating more harmony in your body, mind and heart, will be run by Gopala dasi, senior yoga and meditation teacher at ASMY with over 30 years’ experience.
Please wear comfortable clothes you can stretch in and bring a yoga mat. We have some yoga mats available for purchase at ASMY.
