These banana balls are regularly made for our programs at West End. Due to popular demand the recipe has been measured out for everyone who has requested it.
- 1 banana, mashed
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablspoon liquid malt
- 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
- 1 tablespoon pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
- 3 cups milk powder, approximately (will vary depending on the size or how moist the banana is).
- coconut to roll
Mix the first five ingredients together thoroughly. Gradually add enough milk powder until it is a moist consistency, which can be rolled into balls (It should be a little sticky and may seem too soft, but they will continue to harden after you have rolled them.) Roll into balls and coat in coconut.
Makes approximately 20 balls.
Note:
If you add too much milk powder the balls will become hard and dry.
